Lunch chair wrought

I just bought a tux and was wondering if it would be overkill for the Met(I am buying Orchestra) or not? - my tux

I plan to attend an opera at the Met, and I from a small town in Virginia, rarely have the opportunity to the opera or the ballet (although I doubt benefit) and I wondered if my new suit in May in an excessive night for the regular assessment of the section of the orchestra.
